karma

Back when I was a school kid, sport is an activity that I hate the most. It could be counted with our ten beautiful fingers (that's 20 just so you know, both urs and mine add up together :P) on how many did I attended sports activity in school, in all my 11 years of schooling.

But karma is a bitch. And it likes to slap us at the face.

I managed to tip toed my way all through last year. I was saved from getting too involved in the school's sports' activities. But not this year, no. I was appointed as the leader of the red house. Captain, may I say. This however does not makes me as cool as Jack Sparrow.

Being the leader, you pretty much had to lead both of the teachers and the students. The thing is, in my school, they have this kind of unsettling mindset. If you're not the leader, then you don't have to do anything. Unless if your name is written as the AJK of a programme where you are bounded to actually do something. And even then it does not actually involved in managing the house itself. Although I was pretty much alone, I was lucky to have a few (very few!) teachers who are dedicated in ensuring that the house could nab the first place this year, just like it did since the past two years. And they actually lend me a hand. They actually walk the talk. Not just being so clever in the complaining and suggestion department but zero in action. And I'm also quite fortunate to have several form 6xers who have been helping me heaps.

So, with these (very few!) teachers and form 6xers, I have been running around (quite literally) at school, managing the athletes, the house, the everything. Being a newbie probably made it worse because I had probably zero (make that negative) knowledge in how things are usually done.

Next week is gonna be the finale of the Sports Day and good God how I can't wait for that day to come. Altho the preparation and the pressure upon facing that day is gonna be horrific, here's hoping that we (my comrades n I) will be able to sail through it all.

I've got sunburn from handling the students' training and all and I am seriously hoping that it'll be all worth it! I want to make karma my best friend now.
